about

Space Trance Ambient

During the 80’s Ariel travelled as music director for Margot Anand Tantra workshops and also played live with his portable setup : Modified Yamaha Portastudio PS-20 keyboard, Wasp synthesiser, 4 track cassette recorder/mixer, microphone and effects.

1. Waspeggios Mysterioso, Arpeggios from a Yamaha Portasound PS-20 mixed with a Wasp synthesiser and flanger effects. Recorded live during a relaxation session.

2. SiDoSi SiSolSol, One of Ariel's repetitive pattern is based on the lyrics of a song 'Flamadanse' written for a grieving friend with an analogy to the fire in a fireplace: Dancing flames are like love, sometimes almost not visible, sometimes roaring with energy. This is a variation on the notes of that song.

3. Woman Is Powerful Ambient Mix, Ariel found this older ambient music archive on a cassette. Out of the blue comes this voice talking about Woman being powerful.... then the voice disappears... it must have been on a prerecorded cassette..."Recorded in the beginning of 1980's with a Yamaha Portasound PS-20, a Wasp synthesiser, flutes and vocals during a tantra workshop as I was music director with Margot Anand, chosing music and playing live... probably in one go as I used to do at that time... "

4. Planet Air Portasound, Another version of 'Planet Air', inspiring piece composed on a church pipe organ and featured on the LP Osmose. This time it is with the Yamaha Portasound PS-20, a Wasp synthesiser and effects.
